HomeAI consulting
AI consulting for SMEs and mid-sized companies Where AI saves the most time in your business.
Many businesses use AI for writing and research. It saves the most time in the core processes that tie up your specialists. Our AI consultancy tells you openly where AI helps and where it does not, and we implement what makes sense.
Free, no strings attached. If you like, with a written assessment of your project.
Many companies find themselves at the same point.
- Some people on the team already use AI programs, but without shared rules.
- AI writes emails, while the actual specialist work stays exactly as it was.
- There are countless offers, and nobody can say which of them fits your company.
- Questions about data protection for AI and liability slow down every decision.
- For a dedicated position that deals with nothing else, there is neither time nor staff.
Good consulting brings above all one thing here: a clear order of priority, starting with the process that has the greatest effect. What comes first, what can wait and what you can safely leave out.
What we clarify for you in AI consulting
-
Taking stock
We ask you to show us how your processes run today and where qualified time goes into preparatory work: reading, searching, transferring, calculating, writing. Together with the people who do this work.
-
Honest assessment
A clear assessment for every process: AI changes it fundamentally, a simple automation without AI is enough, or it stays as it is.
-
Order and impact
Where you start, what this step demands of your team and how you will know that it has proved itself.
-
Data and rules
Which data may go into which programs, what to look for in providers, and a short written AI policy for your team.
At the end you hold a written recommendation. It belongs to you, even if you carry out the implementation yourself or with another partner.
What it can look like What a consulting engagement typically produces.
Six starting points as they occur in many companies, and the recommendation that can follow from them. Sometimes the recommendation is also: leave it as it is.
-
Technical reports tie up the specialists for weeks.
Plans, photos and requirements are available, but every report is written by hand. Here AI changes the process fundamentally. Recommendation: a system that creates reports in the company's layout, first for the most frequent type of report and tested against earlier reports.
Typical for planning and engineering offices, expert assessors
-
Cost estimation is the bottleneck in tenders.
Every item is looked up, assessed and transferred individually. Recommendation: have items matched automatically to your prices and earlier estimates, so that your estimators only check what is new or different.
Typical for construction, building services and industrial suppliers
-
Accounts payable matches invoices with purchase orders.
This often needs no AI. A fixed rule in the existing program does most of the work, and AI helps with invoices without an order number and with unusual formats. Recommendation: the rule first, then check whether more is needed.
Typical for trade and manufacturing
-
Important knowledge sits in the heads of a few people.
Standards, manuals, test regulations and completed projects exist, but hardly anyone finds the right passage. Recommendation: a knowledge system that answers questions from these documents and names the exact source.
Typical for engineering, production and planning
-
Everyone on the team uses a different AI program.
With private accounts and without agreement on what may be pasted in. Recommendation: one approved tool and a short written policy with examples from your own work.
Typical for sales, administration and law firms
-
The annual stocktake is tedious every year.
Tedious, but rare. The effort of automating it would be out of proportion to the benefit. Recommendation: leave it and put the effort where specialist work arises every day.
This too is part of an honest assessment
All examples show typical starting points, not client projects.
Get in touchAI literacy in your team, as the AI Act requires
In the consultation we work out with you what your team needs to know to use AI safely, and put it in writing.
-
A plan for management
Where the company stands, what is realistic and which steps come first. At the end there is a plan that you support.
-
Rules that everyone understands
What is allowed, which data is off limits and whom to ask when in doubt. As a short written policy.
Since February 2025 the EU AI Act has required companies that use AI to take measures to promote the AI literacy of their employees (Article 4, reworded in July 2026). More: AI literacy under Art. 4 and the AI Act at a glance.
For companies with several departments
Where sales, engineering, purchasing, production and administration work together, it is tempting to tackle everything at once. We advise against it. We begin in one area with one process, involve the people who work with it and expand only once it has proved itself in daily work.
AI takes over the preparatory work: reading, searching, calculating, drafting. The decisions stay with your employees. If there is a works council, we involve it from the start.
How an AI consulting engagement works
-
Step 1: Your message
You write to us briefly about what concerns your company. We get in touch with you personally.
What you do: write to us. There is nothing you need to prepare.
-
Step 2: Agreeing the scope and a proposal
We discuss which areas we should look at. After that you receive a written proposal for the consulting.
What you do: tell us about your situation and decide.
-
Step 3: Taking stock
We look at your processes, talk to the people involved and collect examples from your earlier work.
What you do: show us how things work today.
-
Step 4: Recommendation and next step
You receive the written recommendation with an order of priority. Whether and with what we continue is your decision.
What you do: read and decide.
What you can expect from us
- Only what is necessary. For taking stock, examples are enough. We do not need complete customer or personnel data for it.
- Confidential. What we learn about your company stays with us. On request we sign a confidentiality agreement beforehand.
- Independent. We do not sell third-party software licences and recommend what fits your company.
Frequently asked questions about AI consulting
What does AI consulting cost?
That depends on how many areas we look at and how many people are involved. A price list would therefore tell you little. Before we begin, you receive a written proposal with a clearly described scope. Without your approval, no costs arise.
How long does AI consulting take?
That depends on how many areas we look at. For taking stock we need several conversations with the people who run the processes today, and your daily business carries on in the meantime. You will find the schedule up to the written recommendation in the proposal.
Do we need our own IT specialists for this?
No. We explain everything in plain language and coordinate with your IT department where necessary.
Who is AI consulting for?
For owner-managed companies as well as for mid-sized companies with several departments. What matters is not size but whether specialists regularly spend time on preparatory work that follows a pattern.
What if AI is not worthwhile for us?
Then we tell you. Sometimes a simple rule in the existing program is the better solution, sometimes waiting is more sensible.
Do we have to commission the implementation from you?
No. The recommendation belongs to you. If you wish, we implement it step by step, with a written proposal before every step.
Where do you work?
Our office is in Vienna, and our projects run across the whole European Union. We work in German and English.
Tell us where your company loses the most time.
A few sentences are enough. We will reply personally, free of charge and without obligation.
