HomeApp development
App development from Vienna Apps for your team and customers, built for how you work.
Where standard software misses your workflows, you end up with lists, detours and duplicate work. We develop apps and web apps for your team and your customers, connected to your systems, and look after them after launch.
Free, no strings attached. If you like, with a written assessment of your project.
When custom software pays off
- Important processes depend on Excel files that only one person really understands.
- Field staff and office exchange information through slips of paper, phone calls and photos in a chat.
- Customers ask about the status of their order, and each time someone has to look it up.
- A standard program can do a lot, just not your most important process.
If a good ready-made program exists for your task, we will tell you. Custom software pays off where your process sets you apart from others or where several programs have to work together.
What we develop
-
Staff apps for your team
For field service, installation, warehouse and production. On request also for places with poor reception: data is synchronised as soon as a connection is available again.
-
Apps and portals for your customers
Orders, appointments, order status, documents and invoices in one place, for iPhone, Android and the browser.
-
Web apps and custom software
Tools for office and administration that run in the browser without installation. Where spreadsheets and standard programs reach their limits. More: custom software development and MVP.
-
AI tools for your specialists
Tools that read plans, photos and documents and use them to produce reports, estimates or analyses in your templates. Your specialists review and approve.
-
Connection to your systems
ERP, accounting, planning programs and document storage are connected so that nothing is entered twice.
What it can look like Software for the processes that carry your company.
Six examples of how custom software shortens routes and brings knowledge to where the work is done.
-
Service and installation without slips of paper
Technicians record working time, materials, photos and the customer's signature in the app. The office has everything it needs for the invoice on the same day.
Typical for building services, construction and service
-
Reordering for regular customers
Restaurant and trade customers order on their phone from their usual range. The order lands directly in the ERP system, without a call and without retyping.
Typical for wholesale and beverage trade
-
Inspection and maintenance records
Checklists on a tablet instead of paper, with photos, deadlines and reminders. In an inspection all the evidence is at hand with one click.
Typical for manufacturing, building services and property management
-
A portal for your customers
Customers see the status of their order, plans, documents and invoices. Many enquiries by phone and email become unnecessary.
Typical for construction, planning and service providers
-
Cost estimation and project control in one place
Where estimates, project status and post-calculation sit in scattered Excel files, a web app brings everything together. AI reads plans and tenders and suggests items.
Typical for construction, building services and planning
-
Shift handover in production
Faults, open points and notes are handed over digitally instead of in a handover book. The next shift sees at a glance what needs to be done.
Typical for manufacturing and food
All examples show typical uses, not client projects.
Get in touchFrom the idea to live operation
-
Step 1: Your message
You tell us what the software should do and who will work with it. We get in touch with you personally.
What you do: write to us. There is nothing you need to prepare.
-
Step 2: Clarification and proposal
We look at the process with the people who will work with it later. After that you receive a written proposal with scope and schedule.
What you do: show us how things work today.
-
Step 3: Clickable prototype
Before anything is developed, you see the most important screens as a clickable prototype and can try it out with your team.
What you do: try it out and give feedback.
-
Step 4: Development in stages
We develop in stages. After every stage you see a usable version instead of waiting a long time for a result.
What you do: test and approve.
-
Step 5: Launch and support
We publish the app, accompany the launch in your company and, if you wish, take care of updates and extensions.
What you do: use it in daily work.
The technology, in plain words
- For iPhone and Android. Where it fits, we develop once for both systems. That keeps the effort for development and maintenance manageable.
- In the browser. Web apps run without installation on computer, tablet and phone. For office, engineering and administration this is often the simplest solution.
- Documented and maintained. Code and processes are documented so that your software does not depend on a single person.
Frequently asked questions about app development
App, web app or ready-made program: what do we need?
If a good ready-made program exists for your task, that is usually the better choice, and we will tell you. A web app is enough if the work is mainly done in the office. An app for iPhone and Android pays off if your team works on the move, uses the camera or has to work with poor reception.
How long does development take?
That depends on the scope. We develop in stages, and after every stage you see a usable version. You will find the schedule in the written proposal.
Do we need a requirements specification?
No. A description in your own words is enough: who uses the app, what it should be able to do and how the process runs today. We work out the requirements together, and the clickable prototype shows early on whether everyone means the same thing. If you want to start small, you begin with a first version that contains only the core, more under MVP.
What does an app cost?
That depends on who uses the app, which programs are connected and on which devices it should run. A price list would therefore tell you little. Before we begin, you receive a written proposal with a clearly described scope. Without your approval, no costs arise.
Will the app go into the App Store?
Apps for your customers we publish in the App Store and on Google Play, and we handle the submission. Apps just for your team can also be distributed without being publicly findable.
Who looks after it after launch?
If you wish, we do. New versions of iOS and Android regularly require adjustments, and extensions come when your processes change.
Where is the data stored?
Wherever possible on servers in the EU. Which services are involved and which data they see is stated in writing before the start.
Where do you work?
Our office is in Vienna, and our projects run across the whole European Union. We work in German and English.
Tell us what your software should do.
A rough idea is enough. We will reply personally, free of charge and without obligation.
